Three levels of service are available. Query me first to discuss the level of service required. The corresponding rates for each level are below, based on the industry standard of a double-spaced manuscript with 1-inch margins, using Times New Roman or Courier New size 12 font. In order of preference, I accept .docx, .doc, .rtf, and OpenOffice file formats.

Proofreading
Your manuscript is complete, and you've edited it yourself, or had someone else do it for you. You've polished and tweaked, and now it's time for a fresh pair of eyes to take a look. This service covers the basics: spelling, punctuation, typographical errors, etc. It's the final read that ensures your work shines.
Copy Editing
Your manuscript is complete but may require more work than a simple proofread. This service covers the same areas as proofreading but also delves deeper into your manuscript and looks at your story as a whole. I will rework confusing or awkward writing, ensure consistency of elements like character details, remove repetition and make sure your dialogue isn't stilted or unsuitable. This service will include notes from me on any number of details, as well as any comments involving larger issues. Published authors will recognize this service as similar to editing performed by traditional houses.
Substantive Editing
I will recommend this service for manuscripts that require major work. This is where we look at elements such as characterization, setting, plot, pacing, point of view, description, etc., and likely follow this up with a copy edit and proofread. Rates for this service are not listed below as they'll be set on a case-by-case basis.
